|Motel One, Glasgow||Client: Ogilvie Construction
Working for Main Contractor we were employed to provide mastclimber and cradle access for the new Motel One hotel in Glasgow.
Working in a City Centre location so close to one of the busiest train stations in the UK brought with it many challenges which, by working closely with the MC, we successfully overcame to everyone’s satisfaction.
|Central Square, Leeds||Client: Lakesmere
Access was required to access the internal face of a finished façade. In order to give the client access we had to design and build a bespoke narrow cradle that would firstly fit on the limited space available on the finished roof, but that would also fit between the outer and inner facades.
Our Specialist Access Division worked closely with our client and also the Building Management to ensure all work was able to be carried out safely and with no interruption to the day to day workings of those who occupied the building.
|Bank Street, London.||Client: Lindner Facades
Angled mastclimber giving client access to the sloping façade at Bank Street, London.
Communication and co-ordination with our client and the MC have been key on this project.
|Graphene Building Manchester||Client: Lakesmere
An example of how Mastclimbers, combined with a monorail system can be used in an innovative way to overcome site space issues.
With limited space to load and unload materials the monorail was used not just as way of lifting heavy materials for ease of installation, but also as a way of transporting goods around the building to load all of the mastclimbers with materials.
Goods were lifted from a loading area and moved around to each elevation as required saving both time and the expense of a tower crane.
|GEIC, Manchester||Client: FK Group
More innovation from our Specialist Access Group who designed a large corner cradle for FK Group at their recent project in Manchester.
|Benmore Estate||Client: Hamiltons
Our first project with Hamiltons saw Adastra use 12 mastclimbers over 3 tower blocks at the Benmore Estate in Birmingham.
Co-ordination with other sub-contractors was key with this project to ensure we met the clients program.
|Science Central, Newcastle||Client: Charles Henshaw & Son
Working for Specialist Sub-contractor Charles Henshaw & Son Adastra were asked to provide an external access solution to allow the distinctive gold cladding to be fitted.
Due to the weight of the cladding panels each mast climbing work platform was fitted with a monorail system making the job both quicker and safer.
|Capitol Cinema||Client: Glass Solutions
Glass Solutions used a mix of our standard mastclimbers & our brand new narrow width machines for their Capitol Cinema project in Aberdeen.
A busy City Centre location and some very difficult site conditions meant that our team of installers had to use all of their considerable skill and experience to complete the works to the customer's satisfaction.
|Camphill & Spiersfield Tower Blocks, Paisley||Client: Wates Living Space
Adastra were awarded the contract to supply mastclimbers for Wates Living Space on 2 tower blocks in Paisley, Glasgow.
Our Health & Safety record was key in us being awarded the contract due to the fact that members of the public were in close proximity to the site and also because the blocks were occupied at the time of installation and dismantle.
