Training

Set up in 1983, the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) have promoted the safe and effective use of powered access worldwide.

A not-for-profit members’ organisation, IPAF have represented the interests of manufacturers, distributors, users, rental and training companies. It serves as a forum for all active in the world of powered access.

IPAF have played a key role in promoting many of the design, safety and testing procedures that are now established in the powered access industry.

Adastra Access are pleased to announce that they are now an IPAF-approved training centre. Courses are available either on-site or at our facility. To maintain quality, classes are restricted to a minimum of 4 persons and no more than 6.

Course offerings include:

  • Mobile Operator. This one day course teaches moving mobile mastclimbers to new positions, but not load-bearing ties. Cost: £350
  • Demonstrator. One day "training the trainer" course. Attendees will be able train new users and complete necessary daily and weekly safety checks. Cost: £350
  • Installer. Depending on experience, up to 10 days learning planning, installing, moving and dismantling mastclimbers according to customer requirements within the equipment's parameters.
